On October 1, 2026, I made my debut with the ODU Symphony Orchestra at University Theatre. I played Clarinet 2 in Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 97—the “Rhenish.”
Our concert, Classical Roots: Mozart, Strauss & Schumann, began at 7:30 p.m. and was led by music director and conductor Paul Sanho Kim. Jacob Wilder, Virginia Symphony Orchestra principal horn and ODU horn professor, joined us as soloist for Strauss’s First Horn Concerto.
The program
- Mozart — The Marriage of Figaro Overture
- Strauss — Horn Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major
- Schumann — Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 97 (“Rhenish”)
